A site devoted to a talented actor best known for the character of Enos Strate, which he originated in "The Dukes Of Hazzard" television series (January 26, 1979-August 16,1985) and later portrayed as the star of his own series, "Enos".
Sonny has had many other roles in television and motion pictures as well.
I have created this page in his honor because I admire his ability to make us laugh with his subtle actions, movements and not-so-subtle facial expressions and slapstick bumblings. Of course, Sonny's talent doesn't stop with comedy--just look up some of his other acting credits (listed on this page)and you'll see what I mean. Also, I have met this wonderful man in person twice! He is very deserving of this tribute.

BORN Otis B. Shroyer on August 28, 1935 in Valdosta, Georgia. He is 6' 2" tall and has brown hair and hazel green eyes. He briefly played football at Florida State University (GO NOLES!!...sorry, couldn't help myself) and later received a BBA from the University of Georgia. He started his acting career in commercials and did some modeling before appearing in movies (eighteen of which were done before his role as "Enos").
Gy Waldron, the creator of "The Dukes Of Hazzard" says that he had Sonny in mind when he created the role of "Enos Strate".
Sonny is a poet, sings tenor and he is married with two grown sons.
